MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING.

Started by: broady (inactive)

This was the reason that McIlroy withdrew from a golf tournament. He plays golf for goodness sake. A mega millionaire, travels the world on sponsors money. What would he be like trying to raise a family on limited income, mortgage overwhelming him. He needs to man up. If he wants a holiday/break just take it.

Bit of a crass statement broady if I may say so.
Forms of depression are classed as an illness.
I don't know if he has stated any link between his profession and his well being?
Would you be posting the same thing if he had been diagnosed with say cancer?

And either way if he has pulled out of a tournament it looks like he took your advice about an holiday before you gave it.

A totally crap comment from our Canadian resident re Rory.
Chatty sums it up better than i can.
Rory is possibly holidaying in N I and visiting Belfast
To present money to the Rory foundation that he founded and fully supports ,helping children not only in the U K but world wide .

You are so very predictable .
Is that the best your very tiny brain can come up with .
No praise for a man who won K 750 and promptly gave it all to his foundation .

Grim ( how aptly named)
If that was indeed what he was doing why cite otherwise? My theory is he was pissed off about his poor display in his last major. Of course if he had cancer my approach would have been different. It seems that if you kick someone on here half the site limps. Next up will be Whupsy.

Broad equals thick .
Thick as pig sh.t .
Of course if he had cancer your approach would be different .
Easy peasy to say that .
Keep taking the pills you knob .

How very ignorant. We know we got a VC in the war, play off scratch, have pre match drinks at the Lowry with SAF and drink coffee with the editor of the Daily Mirror. To quote your erstwhile friend you also did a runner into White Rose territory. I think that side of the hills is perhaps better suited to your IQ.

Grim was apt you said .
So dont you say i am ignorant you knobhead .
And good for this country that you hissed off to Canada.
Show were i said i play off scratch .
Show were i said pre match with S A F .
Show were i said i know the Mirror editor.
You cant so resort to your thicko comments .
Utd fan,
Do me a favour knob .

Your hero earned £84.73 every single minute of 2022. Over £44m in the year so please excuse me if I don’t gush over him giving away some loose change. Asa golfer he is very good but I can’t get this mental and emotional tripe.

Clearly you havnt the faintest idea of how much he has given of his earnings to found his foundation and continues to support it financially .
S A F supports the Rory foundation b t w .
I truly hope you or any family member ever suffer from depression or mental disorder .
It isnt tripe believe me .

Still not grasping the supposed correlation between earnings and ability to defeat an illness?

Must try harder. All I am saying is he was pissed at playing badly and used the above as an an excuse. You are attempting to make a link that I never thought of. I think if I had relatives in the Ukraine I would be concerned about their emotional well-being. Anyway I see the gang are after me but I have to dash as I am going to watch what are currently Manchester’s best football team.

I think your all missing the point on this illness called Depression, Speaking from my heart and a person who has had and still have from time to time which resulted in my attempt to end it all ,it very easy for anyone who has not gone thro that kind of illness to talk glibbly about it , as regards for Rory if the pressures got to him only he can sort it out ,i wish him and other's with this horrible condition all the best for the future ,and finally from my view one of the answer's is ...........KEEP TALKING !!!

Where has all this depression come into the discussion? Just read what he actually said. It wasn't all related to playing golf. It was all this LV1 malarkey. If he had Flu you would make it pneumonia.
